WV Labor Market Information Site
2021–Present
My main focus. I maintain and modernize lmi.workforcewv.org — West Virginia's public labor market data dashboard. The site covers unemployment rates, job openings, wages, labor force participation, and employment trends across the state.
Behind it I build the data pipelines that pull from federal sources (BLS, Census), automate the quarterly reporting process, and handle the SAS-to-Python migration that's been ongoing since I started.
Synthetic Data for Fish Detection
2024 · Published Research
Used physics simulation to generate training data for a computer vision model that detects fish in stream environments. Cut manual labeling needs by 90% and hit 91.8% accuracy. Collaboration with WVU and The Conservation Fund.
